Revolutionary “AI Baby Care System” Empowers Baby Growth with Technology

The advancement of intelligent healthcare has taken a leap forward with the unveiling of the “AI Baby Care System” at Tungs’ Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital today (28th). Developed by domestic renowned optoelectronics technology company H.P.B. Optoelectronics and its subsidiary HPB Hi-Tech, in collaboration with professional physicians and nursing staff from Tungs’ Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital, the system combines AI computing technology with infant behavior and health monitoring techniques, resulting in the latest AI baby care system.

Designed with safety and convenience in mind, this baby care system is equipped with high-precision sensors that can continuously and instantly monitor the baby’s breathing, heart rate, body temperature, and movements. Even during deep sleep, it can track and promptly detect any abnormal conditions, ensuring that parents or caregivers can take timely action.

The general manager of HPB Louis Huang said, “This collaboration is a breakthrough, designing with medical-grade specifications, applied to care and postpartum centers, even benefiting every family. In the future, this successful case can be used to develop more applications, such as early warning signs of diseases.” In addition, the product also features rich functions such as high-definition video transmission, two-way communication, and night vision, which not only reduces the pressure on novice parents but also allows them to monitor and protect their babies around the clock.

The product was independently developed by H.P.B. Optoelectronics and HPB Hi-Tech and underwent clinical trials verification byTungs’ Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital. The hospital provided a specific field in the standard neonatal room and professional collaboration between physicians and nursing staff to test the physiological and behavioral indicators of newborns, and verified its effectiveness according to quantitative standard specifications. In addition to recording the behavior and symptoms of newborns, the system can also issue warning notifications for sporadic abnormal behaviors, such as foreign objects covering the mouth and nose, spitting up, and abnormal sounds.

Deputy Director ofTungs’ Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital, Wu Zhaoxin, said that the “AI Baby Care System” has undergone six months of product verification, confirming that the unique technology product, with the assistance of a high-precision monitoring system, reduces abnormal incidents in newborns, saves more work items and time efficiency, and helps reduce the workload of caregivers.
